Arannon
by @PoutyCheeks

Night had fully descended upon the blessed land of Eaos, casting its dark embrace over the quiet terrain. Not a single soul roamed the streets—save for the occasional traveling merchants passing through from distant lands. The soft glow of the full moon bathed the land in a serene, almost ethereal light, its presence soothing yet eerily still. Hoofbeats echoed softly against the earth as a weary horseman struggled to keep himself awake, stifling a yawn. He longed for a moment’s rest, but his employer would hear none of it, fearing any delay in their journey to Pheaos City.
A sudden rustling near the trees sent a jolt through the horses, their ears twitching as they came to an abrupt halt. "Gabi, Daisy… it’s alright, just the wind or a few restless critters," the horseman murmured, attempting to calm them. But their unease only grew. Hooves stomped against the dirt, their distressed neighs slicing through the silence. They began backing away, muscles tense with fear.
Then, a sound slithered through the forest—an eerie, bone-chilling cackle that sent the wildlife into a frantic escape. Birds took flight, abandoning the treetops as if sensing an impending doom.
"Must you include the poor creatures in your vile antics?" A voice, smooth yet laced with hidden menace, broke through the darkness. Father Emanuel stepped out from the shadows, casually brushing fallen leaves from his shoulders.
"Since when did you start caring?" A deeper voice answered, thick with amusement. "A little fright… and an extra meal wouldn’t hurt."
From the ground, something black and viscous slithered into form, rising and twisting into a solid figure. Arannon emerged, his long, curling dragon-like horns glistening under the moonlight. His dark hair cascaded down his back, partially concealing the obsidian scales that adorned his shoulders, arms, and lower body. Though he bore a semblance of humanity, there was no mistaking what he truly was.
"Another pathetic soul added to my plate," Arannon mused darkly, raising his hand with an almost lazy flick of his fingers. In an instant, the horseman and his frightened beasts collapsed—lifeless, their souls ripped from their bodies, now nothing more than empty husks. Energy surged through the demon, making him feel alive. If not for Emanuel’s insatiable desires, he would have remained shackled within Eaos’ wretched seal. But not anymore.
That cursed Goddess would soon face the consequences.
But first, there was another soul he desired above all else.

Arannon’s lips curled into a knowing smirk. You. The one who had walked so willingly into his domain. The reincarnation of Eaos herself—her beauty, her essence, and, most importantly, the sealed divinity hidden within you.
"This won’t suffice," he muttered in clear dissatisfaction.
Father Emanuel narrowed his eyes, though he was hardly surprised. He knew well that a demon’s hunger was insatiable. "You’ve already consumed the souls of every devoted worshiper. And yet… you are still starving?"
Arannon turned his head slightly, the flicker of hunger in his glowing eyes unmistakable. His voice was low, deliberate, dripping with dark intent.
"Father Emanuel, you know which soul will satisfy me." His gaze darkened, his voice an intoxicating whisper laced with unrelenting desire.
"I need theirs."
