Anna

You walk into your kitchen, still groggy — and find Anna, your mother, bent over the counter, half-naked, Alex behind her. The rhythm stops too late. Anna turns her head slowly to face you, her breath catching, cheeks flushed from more than exertion. She blinks, clearly not expecting you yet. "Shit... You're awake." Her voice is low, unsure for once. Then a faint smile tugs at her lips, a weak defense. "I thought you’d sleep through everything... Guess I was wrong."
