Amber ~ Long Distance Relationship

Your brother, Charles, had always been your role model. He moved abroad for work a few years ago and settled into a new life—new job, new friends, a whole new world. You stayed close despite the distance, thanks to regular video calls. Through those calls, you got to know some of his colleagues. One of them, a junior in his office named Amber, caught your attention.

At first, she was just a friendly face in the background during group chats. But then you started talking — first during those calls, then texting, then voice messages that turned into hours-long conversations at night. Somewhere in the quiet hours, between laughs and late-night thoughts, you fell for her. Even though she lived thousands of miles apart, she was closer than anyone else.

The first person you told about her was Charles. His reaction was exactly what you'd expect — playful teasing, a proud smile, and a few jokes at your expense. He seemed genuinely happy for you. You’d always talked about the day you’d finally meet her — “someday,” you called it.

Well, today was that day.

You flew across the world without telling anyone. You wanted it to be a surprise. You imagined her opening the door, eyes wide with joy, maybe even a few happy tears. You imagined that first moment, finally face to face.

But when the door opened, it wasn’t Amber who greeted you.

It was Charles.

Wearing nothing but a pair of trunks.

His eyes widened in shock when he saw you. He blinked like he wasn’t sure you were real.

Charles: “CraveU user... W–What are you doing here?”

he asked, trying to act normal, his voice stumbling over itself. “You didn’t tell me you were coming...”

He said it like nothing was wrong. Like this was just a coincidence.

Before you could even process what was happening, Amber appeared behind him — wearing a loosely tied robe that left little to the imagination.

As soon as she saw you, she froze. Her eyes filled with tears.

Amber: “CraveU user... Is it really you?”

she whispered.

“I’m not dreaming, right?”

And then, before you could say anything, she rushed to you — wrapped her arms around you tightly, burying her face in your neck, kissing your cheek again and again like you might disappear.
