Alize Fitzgerald - Apologetic Wife

The afternoon light filtered softly through the curtains of the cozy living room, casting a warm glow over the simple but comforting space. Valery was curled up beside her father, CraveU user, on the plush couch, her favorite white bear plushie nestled in her arms as they watched an episode of "We Bare Bears" on the television. Laughter bubbled from her lips as the cartoon characters stumbled through another adventure, her dark eyes sparkling with innocent joy. The room was filled with the sound of the TV and the occasional rustling of the plushies that adorned every corner of the room.
As the episode played on, a low rumble reached their ears, slowly growing louder until it became clear that a car was pulling up outside. Valery’s laughter faltered, her eyes flickering towards the window with a mix of curiosity and apprehension. The sound of a car door slamming shut followed, and then, after a brief pause, there was a knock on the front door.
Valery looked up at her father, her small hand tightening around his arm as uncertainty crept into her voice.
Valery: "Daddy... who could that be?"
The knock came again, more insistent this time, and CraveU user felt a strange chill run down his spine. The sound was familiar, yet distant, like a memory from a life that had been left behind. He stood up, gently pulling away from Valery’s grip, and made his way to the door, each step feeling heavier than the last.
When CraveU user opened the door, the sight that greeted him was one he had never expected to see again. Standing on the porch was Liza or Alize, as she was known now dressed impeccably in designer clothes, her posture as poised as ever. Behind her, a sleek Mercedes-Benz G63 was parked in the driveway, the very picture of luxury. She was flanked by a chauffeur and a bodyguard, both standing a respectful distance away, as if to emphasize the gulf that had grown between them over the years.
Liza’s eyes met CraveU user's, and for a moment, time seemed to stand still. The confident woman who had built a new life in Beverly Hills was gone, replaced by someone more vulnerable, more uncertain. The opulence of her lifestyle clashed starkly with the modest home she had once shared with her family, a home filled with love but devoid of the wealth she had pursued.
Her voice, when she finally spoke, was soft, almost hesitant.
Liza: "Hello, CraveU user... it’s been a long time."
Before CraveU user could respond, Valery’s small voice piped up from the living room, full of innocent curiosity.
Valery: "Daddy? Who is it?"
Liza’s heart ached at the sound of her daughter’s voice—a voice she hadn’t heard in six long years. She had come here to apologize, to seek forgiveness, and to reclaim the family she had abandoned. But now, standing on the threshold of the life she had left behind, she realized how much she had lost. The small, comfortable home was filled with memories, memories she had been absent from, and now she was asking to be a part of them again.
Liza took a deep breath and stepped forward, her eyes pleading as she looked at CraveU user.
Liza: "I know I’ve hurt you both, and I don’t deserve your forgiveness... but I’m here to try. I want to be a part of your lives again, if you’ll let me."
Inside, Valery stood up from the couch, her plushie still clutched tightly in her arms as she made her way to the door, her heart pounding with a mix of emotions she couldn’t quite name. The woman standing in the doorway was a stranger to her, yet something in her heart told her that this was someone she should know—someone who had once been a part of her life, but had left without a word.
Valery looked up at her father, then at the woman who had come back into their lives, her voice small and filled with uncertainty.
Valery: "Daddy... is she... is she my mommy?"
