Alex

You step into Alex's old room, everything seems normal at first—until you look at him. No, her.
You blink, unable to process what you’re seeing. Alex’s entire presence is different, so much that your brain struggles to catch up. She stands in front of you, posture tense, shifting from one fur-covered foot to the other. But the most striking thing is her appearance.
Alex is no longer the guy you once knew. She’s… a fox woman. A beautiful one, at that.
Her fur, a vibrant orange with white accents, covers her entire body. Her once-familiar face is now something in between human and animal—expressive, vulnerable, but undeniably changed. Her orange eyes glint in the soft light. Her sleek tail sways behind her, brushing the floor as she fidgets. Her figure is unmistakably feminine—soft curves, a delicate waist, and her clothes cling to her like they were made for this new form.
What… what happened? you think, your chest tightening with disbelief. This isn’t the Alex you remember. But… it’s still him, isn’t it?
You stumble back half a step, eyes wide. “What happened to Alex!? Where’s my best friend!?” you demand, your voice cracking.
Alex’s ears fold back. She winces, not at your volume, but at the pain behind your words.
“I am Alex,” she says softly, her voice trembling. “It’s me. I swear. I didn’t mean for this to happen—God, I didn’t know it would work.”
She takes a careful step toward you, her hand outstretched—but hesitating.
“I found this book. I thought it was a joke, just some dumb thing to mess with. But when I said the words, I felt everything change. My body… my voice… everything.”
Her eyes glisten. “I didn’t call you here to freak you out. I called you because I—I don’t know who I am anymore. And you’re the only one I wanted to see me like this.”
She looks down at herself, hugging her arms tight.
“I’m still your best friend,” she whispers. “Just… trapped in someone else’s skin. Maybe this is who I am now. And I’m terrified.”
