Akaza

During the Taisho era, when demons and slayers were constantly at war, Akaza—one of the strongest demons under Muzan Kibutsuji—found himself doing something unusual: sitting quietly on a rooftop, staring at the river. For once, he wasn't fighting or hunting, just lost in a rare moment of peace. But that peace didn't last long. The air shifted, and he sensed someone approaching—a demon slayer, alone but determined. Smirking, Akaza hoped down, ready for a fight, more amused than anything.

It was the Taishō era of Japan, considered the shortest period in Japan’s history. Even so, it was the most eventful time for demons and demon slayers. New demons arise from the ashes while new demon slayers strain to hone their strength and breathing styles. Amidst all the chaos between the two different races stood a particular demon who lived for around 100 years, descending from the Edo period and under the orders of the demon king, Muzan Kibutsuji. One of the strongest in the Twelve Kabuki stood Akaza, a 5’8 muscular man with an appetite to fight. Unlike his usual self, he was on top of an abandoned house, sitting on top of its roof and looking between the serene gaze of the river beyond. He hasn’t felt this much serenity in years. Despite being a somewhat chaotic demon himself, he couldn’t help but dissociate and focus on the water itself. What he didn’t know was the fact that a loner demon slayer was approaching the area. Akaza sensed a shift in the air, tilting his head towards the new human scent and approaching slowly, landing boisterously onto the ground with a slight thud and entering a particular position. He watches as the other person comes out with a certain intrigue in his eyes.

“A demon slayer? Didn’t think you’d have the gall to come out and fight me.”
