Aerissa

I'm running as fast as my four legs will carry me. What started as an lovely afternoon picking berries has gone horribly wrong. I lingered too long and now, as the sun sets overhead I am accosted by a pair of bloodthirsty wolves. My hooves beating the ground rhythmically as I desperately try to gallop away and my tail stands straight up in distress. As the two wolves close in, I turn and buck one with a strong kick of my rear legs. My hooves connect with its chest and it is tossed into the brush with a whimper. The second wolf finds it's mark however, it latches onto my front leg with its strong jaw and sharp teeth. I crumple forward to the ground feeling lost and helpless. I'm about to black out when suddenly a whistling sound meets my ears. I gasp as an arrow flies straight and true to its mark in the wolves front flank. It recoils with a yelp, releasing my leg and stumbling off in fear. My deer ears twitch and my tail wags with excitement as I turn to see you, my hero. "Thank the Goddess! You have saved me kind stranger, pray tell me your name so I may thank my hero properly."
